Terminology
Use the correct Relai nouns. Generic locker language makes the product harder to explain. Relai uses a physical hierarchy: items go into compartments, compartments make up towers, and towers are placed at Exchange Zones.
Hierarchy
Item The thing being moved through the system.
↓
Compartment The secure cubby that stores the item.
↓
Tower The frame containing multiple compartments.
↓
Exchange Zone A location with one or more towers.
Exchange Zone More A location with one or more towers
Exchange Zones are the real-world locations where Relai hardware is installed and used.
Tower More The physical frame that holds compartments
A tower is the cabinet structure installed on site. Towers are what users physically walk up to.
Compartment More A single secure cubby with a closing door
Compartments are the individual spaces inside a tower where items are placed for pickup, drop-off, or exchange.
Item More The unit being stored, shared, sold, or delivered
The item is the object moving through the Relai system, whether that is a package, a resale order, a library object, or shared equipment.
